The “Inside walaah Snaan” ad with Kareena Kapoor is Tetley Tea’s relaunch aimed at attracting tea-drinkers to its green tea varieties.
For the launch of the ad campaign, Kareena Kapoor matched the green tea theme with a fresh green printed dress and mint-green belt.
“I am a fitness enthusiast myself and have been including green tea in my daily diet since many years. I completely agree with Tetley’s concept of cleansing from within that can help you have a better life and attitude during stressful situations. A healthy body leads to healthy mind, said the Gori Tere Pyaar Mein actress.
The television ad also shows Kareena in a fresh green after-shower outfit enjoying a steaming cup of Tetley green tea.
Tetley’s relaunch comes after its research showed that many Indian consumers are leaning towards a healthier lifestyle and are looking to include wellness products into their daily diet. The study also revealed that green tea plays an important role in clearing body’s toxins.
According to nutritionist Pooja Makhija, green tea is ideal in stimulating metabolism and aid weight-loss. “Green tea is far more versatile than just a hot cup of beverage,” Makhija said.
“Kareena Kapoor is celebrated not just for her accomplishments but for a healthy and disciplined living. Her fitness regime, disciplined and healthy lifestyle fits aptly with Tetley’s attributes of spreading the wellness and benefits of green tea,” said Vikram Grover, marketing vice president for Tata Global Beverages.
The relaunch of Tetley Tea with the Bollywood star helped Tata Global Beverages’ stock performance. The shares were trading at Rs150.40, up by 1.4 as a result of the launch.
Tetley green tea flavours include Ginger, Mint, Lemon, Aloe Vera, Cinnamon & Honey, and Honey & Lemon.
