Here’s a low-down on India’s performance at Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 and the list of Gold, Silver and Bronze medalists:

India are behind England (152 medals), Australia (128), Canada (78) and Scotland (52). Although Scotland have fewer total medals than India, they have 18 Gold medals as against India’s 14.
But India are ahead of New Zealand, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Northern Ireland, Wales, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Jamaica among others.
The support for Indian athletes on Twitter for the Games was the third highest among the participating nations. There were as many as 4,531 tweets for “Go India” almost twice as much as tweets for England or Pakistan.
Majority of India’s win came in the wresting, weightlifting and shooting sports. Champions Sushil Kumar, Abhinav Bindra, Amit Kumar, Yogeshwar Dutt, Gagan Narang and Babita Kumari, as usual, gave a stellar performance and grabbed a gold medal each in their respective sport categories.

But India's most successful Commonwealth Games to date remains the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games where athletes won a grand total of 101 medals – 38 Gold, 27 Silver and 37 Bronze medals.
