Eros International and Sohail Khan Productionz’s Jai Ho, is a story about an upright common man’s fight against corruption and in justice. It is about the youth and lending a hand to the common man and who better than Salman Khan for the role, according to the film’s production team.
The lead character played by Salman – ex-army officer, Jai – has a simple mantra: Help somebody and then request that person to lend a helping hand to somebody else – thus forming a growing circle of people helping each other.
Salman Khan launched the trailer at Juhu’s Chandan Talkies spoke about the character: "One must always raise his voice against injustice and if you do not, then you are just as guilty"
Jai Ho is a remake of 2006 Telugu film Stalin which featured actor Chiranjeevi in the lead role. The soundtrack of the film is composed by Sajid-Wajid and Amal Malik
The film also features Tabu, Danny Denzongpa and Daisy Shah in main roles. Tabu’s character Geeta is Jai’s sister who tries to make peace between Jai and a politician who is unleashing violence on Jai.
The trailer of Jai Ho shows Salman Khan delivering powerful dialogues such as “Aam aadmi sota hua sher hai, jag gaya toh cheer-phaad dega”. The action-packed trailer shows Jai fighting injustice in his own trademark style.
Jai Ho marks Salman Khan’s return to the big screen after his two blockbusters of 2012 – Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2 in 2012.
At the film's launch event, the actor confirmed he has painted the posters of the film and that from his 5-6 paintings, the best ones were chosen for the movie.
