The book is authored by celebrity fitness expert Shonali Sabherwal who advises Bollywood stars including Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez, Neha Dhupia, Raima Sen, Esha Deol, Tabu, Kabir Bedi and Shekhar Kapur on healthy eating.
Sabherwal's The Love Diet provides a new approach to eating -- providing food secrets that can make the reader feel sexy and remain happy and in love all the time, the author said.
Unveiling the book, Race 2 actress Jacqueline Fernandez said that "she feels flushed and entirely new" with Shonali's diet. For the book launch event, the 28-year-old Sri Lankan actress looked fresh-faced and fit in a cream and yellow embroidered saree.
Meanwhile, ace director Zoya Akhtar said that she rediscovered herself with Sabherwal's macrobiotic natural diet plan. She was dressed in a black top, striped skirt and bright yellow scarf to brighten her look.
The book launch event was hosted by actor Dalip Tahil at a bookstore in Bandra, Mumbai and was attended by fashionistas, socialites, celebrities and booklovers including adman Prahlad Kakkar.
The Love Diet is aimed at improving health and vitality for a happy blissful life full of love on all levels, according to the publisher.
The proceeds from the first year's book sales will be given to NGOs Ra Foundation and Eve Foundation whose trustees Sunil Nayak and Sunita Choraria were also present at the book launch.
