Trisha Krishnan unveils her next project – bilingual film Nayaki
Nayaki will be directed by Tollywood veteran director Govi and the opening muhurth of the film was on August 20th between 8am and 9am IST at the iconic AVM studios.
For the Muhurth Trisha wore a lovely fuschia pink blouse and teamed it with floor length pink skirt.
The actress lit the lamp to kickstart the project. She was accompanied by her Nayaki co-star Ganesh Venkatraman at the Muhurth function.
The film will see Trisha play the title role. According to Trisha Krishnan, director Govi specially wrote the script for the film Nayaki with the actress in mind. Sharing the news about the film project with her fans on social media, Trisha said: "Thank u Govi .It is not every day that heroines find directors who write scripts solely for them." She added: "Blessed and hoping I can do justice. Super excited about the script and my role."
Trisha has shared two stills related to the film and the audience and her fans have already expressed their excitement and enthusiasm by responding positively on social media sites. The stills already give a glimpse of the horror-comedy genre of the film. One still shows Trisha sitting in a throne in a traditional south Indian silk saree and jewellery but with a sharp knife in her hand. The second still is black & white and shows Trisha recreate the retro magic of the 50s in a saree and an umbrella and a head-bun.
Another still shared by the director shows a quirky Trisha wear a traditional blouse and saree teamed with skinny jeans.
Nayaki or Nayagi will also feature other actors in prominent roles including Kovai Sarala, Satyan Rajesh, and Jaya Prakash among others. In the critically acclaimed film Abhiyum Naanum, Ganesh Venkatraman played the character of the intelligent Sikh sardar who marries Abhi (Trisha).
