LIFF 2015: London Indian Film Festival kicks off showcasing finest Indian cinema

The annual London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) has returned for its 6th year from 16 - 26 July showcasing some of the most prestigious, offbeat and thought-provoking independent films from the Indian sub-continent.

Here are stills from some of the pictures screening at LIFF 2015 including films of Konkana Sen, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Emraan Hashmi and Konkana Sen Sharma among others:

 LIFF 2015's title sponsor is Bagri Foundation, a charity that promotes the best of Indian arts through its diverse cultural programmes. Other partners include British Film Institute (BFI), Cineworld, Grange Hotels, and Pure Heaven.

 Production house Technicolor is getting the films ready for exhibition at LIFF venues including iconic London BFI Southbank, Cineworld Haymarket, Wembley, ICA, Wood Green, Wandsworth and O2.

 For the first time this year, select few LIFF films will be screened in Birmingham – at Cineworld Broad Street in central Birmingham and the Midlands Arts Centre (MAC).
