Hrithik Roshan starrer Mohenjo Daro film’s official trailer leaves audience spellbound, goes viral!
Mohenjo Daro is the most expensive Indian Bollywood adventure film by Ashutosh Gowarikar. At a budget of 200-crore rupees (£22 million), it is more expensive than Bahubali (with a budget of 120-crore rupees).
On Monday, UTV Motion Pictures released the official trailer of the much-awaited Independence Day release of this year – Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro. And the trailer did not disappoint the audience. The Ashutosh Gowarikar directed film has the familiar director’s artistic grandeur we saw in his previous work – Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar. Realistic sets, action, drama, emotion, patriotism, love and passion. The background score by AR Rahman adds further magic to the 3:30-minute trailer.
The trailer shows Mohenjo Daro as a film set during the Pre-historic Indus Valley, fittingly, in 2016 BC. It tracks the story of an evil greed of a man who is about to destroy one of the oldest cities in the ancient world, Mohenjo Daro.
A young indigo farmer, innocent but determined, honest and passionate, Sarman (played by Hrithik Roshan), enters the city and meets Chaani (Played by Pooja Hegde), the daughter of the Priest and falls in love with her. Other key characters in the film are played by Kabir Bedi, Arunoday Singh and Suhasini Mulay among others.
Here’s the official trailer of Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Mohenjo Daro starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde, scheduled for release on August 12, 2016 amid Independence Day festivities:
The trailer then shows Sarman, in his attempt to win Chaani's love, uncovers the secrets nobody was ever supposed to know - about Chaani, about Mohenjo Daro and about his own past. Sarman is then seen fighting against all odds to save Mohenjo Daro and his love from his enemy.
According to UTV Motion Pictures, Mohenjo Daro is a “story of an ancient love and our past, present and future!”.this is the second time the trio of Ashutosh Gowarikar, AR Rahman and Hrithik Roshan are coming together for a film project after Jodhaa Akbar in 2008.
42-year-old Hrithik Roshan shared the link of the official trailer adding: “Seen it yet? Loved every minute of doing this movie!”
Mohenjo Daro marks Miss Indian contestant Pooja Hegde’s Bollywood debut.
