Pics: First glimpses of Ranbir-Deepika in Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani

Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film’s first look showed Deepika and Ranbir in exuberant and happy moods.

Here are the first glimpses of Ranbir Kapoor and his ex-flame Deepika Padukone in Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani which has been extensively filmed in Rajasthan and Kashmir, Mumbai and Paris’s famous Rue Mouffetard street.

One of the posters shows Deepika’s character dressed in white shorts and red shirt celebrating Holi with Ranbir who is seen wearing a bandana and has a dhol.

This is the second film featuring Ranbir and Deepika together. The pair’s first film Bachchna Ae Haseeno was one of the highest grossing films of 2008. The two began dating then but ended their relationship in 2009 in what was termed as one of the high-profile Bollywood break-ups.

Deepika Padukone has since maintained that she is “good friends” with Ranbir Kapoor and that the pair share good on screen chemistry in Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani.

In the second poster released, Deepika is seen sizzling in a black and red saree with Ranbir in a smart black jumper.

The tag line of Ranbir-Deepika starrer Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani is “celebrate love”. The film was initially scheduled to release in March coinciding with Holi festivities but has been postponed to May.

This will be Deepika’s second film this year after Race 2. Her other two films Chennai Express with Shah Rukh Khan and Ram Leela with Ranvir Singh are scheduled for this year too. Meanwhile, this is Ranbir Kapoor’s first release after his critically acclaimed role in 2012’s award-winning film Barfi!.
