Indian-origin Saleem Patel who took indecent 'upskirt' pics of women in the UK faces jail

The London court heard that Saleem Patel, 38, regularly travelled from Hull in North of England to London (150 miles) to take obscene pictures of women on London underground stations and escalators around the crowded and popular Kings Cross area. The court also heard that he did this over a period of 18 months – between January 2013 and April 2015.

According a report on the Hull Daily Mail, Patel's indecent behavior came into light when two off-duty police officers spotted him clicking pictures of a woman breastfeeding her child in London's Covent Garden. When the police officers confiscated his phone, they found thousands of pictures of women using escalators or using toilets or even breastfeeding.

38-year-old Saleem Patel pleaded guilty on August 19th 2015 at Hammersmith Magistrates Court and is likely to face jail. The court has adjourned the sentence until September 9th and has asked Patel to be back in court on the 9th. He is currently released on unconditional bail until then.
