Kew Gardens Orchids Festival: Celebrating India’s vibrant orchids
Through the 2017 festival, visitors can learn and celebrate how plants are used in India and Indian culture in worship, medicine, and everyday life.
Inspired by the vibrant colours, culture and magnificent plant life of India, this year’s festival will feature giant floral displays created using exotic orchids, decorative rickshaws, Indian soundscapes, films and much more, Kew Gardens website reads.
Visitors can see elephants and peacocks created from exotic foliage and tropical plants, Vanda orchids hanging delicately from the ceiling surround a beautiful traditional Indian marriage swing and a giant floral pond display marrying together tradition and modern culture.
The highlights of Kew Gardens Orchids Festival include:

- Film screenings in the Princess of Wales Conservatory film room
