Bajirao Mastani Malhari song full video out! Ranveer Singh captures grandeur of Peshwas' victory celebrations
Bajirao Mastani film's fourth song video, Malhari was unveiled to its fans on Saturday, November 28th(the other three previously released songs include Gajanana, Deewani Mastani and Pinga). Billed as the victory anthem, Malhari song strikes audience for its sheer opulence and scale of victory celebrations of the Peshwas. In it, Ranveer Singh, playing the title character Bajirao, is seen doing traditional victory dance in his Peshwa outfit alongside his complete warrior team. Ranveer's body language, passionate dance, attire and posture all connote the pride that Peshwas had in being victorious in their battles. This song too has lyrics, choreography and music resonating the Peshwa era.
Ranveer Singh is currently in Bhopal for promoting and launching the song Malhari there. He said on Twitter: "So, I'm in Bhopal readying to rage at the Malhari Launch. Meanwhile y'all good folks can nibble on this little teaser!" he shared a 20-second Malhari teaser video on Facebook to thundering response from Bollywood fans.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic love story starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra is releasing on December 18th but fans have shown their eagerness by responding overwhelmingly to each song release including Malhari. Malhari victory song gives a glimpse into the enigmatic character Bajirao.
Ranveer and Deepika play the title characters of Bajirao – a Marathi warrior and the Maratha Peshwa in 1720s and Mastani – his second wife who is said to have been both extremely beautiful and extremely courageous in Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani film. Mastani was a Persian courtesan while Priyanka Chopra's character Kashibai is Bajirao's first wife.
