Deepika Padukone launches Facebook page, gets 1.5 million likes in hours!
The Cocktail and Race 2 star is already social web-savvy with an active profile on Twitter which she uses regularly to promote her films and share her pictures and views.

On Tuesday, February 5, 2013 launched her official Deepika Padukone Facebook page and received more than 1.5 million “likes” in three hours of the announcement.
The Bollywood’s rising star announced and introduced her Facebook profile on Twitter. She said: “So, I'm finally on Facebook! My Official Page has just been launched.”
She urged her followers on Twitter to share their views on the page. “Tell me what you think,” she added.
Deepika Padukone has kept her Facebook profile simple and minimalistic and has described herself as actor/director.
The actress has had a busy and successful 2012 with hit films such as Cocktail and has her hands full in 2013 too with high-profile films such as Ram Leela and Chennai Express. The actress started the year with a bang with the commercial success of her just-released film Race 2 where she acteds alongside her on-screen suitor Saif Ali Khan.
Deepika Padukone has become the latest Bollywood star to embrace Facebook. Just recently Salman Khan launched his Facebook page to receive three millions likes in a single day.
