Sultan Official Trailer is Here! Salman Khan impresss as wrestler in action-packed trailer
YRF’s Sultan is a sports drama film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra. It is slated to release on July 6, 2016 to coincide with Eid celebrations. Sultan is about a small town wrestler from Haryana and his struggles in his personal and professional lives. The trailer shows Salman Khan playing the title role of Sultan the wrestler winning small-time competitions who then goes on to achieve international fame and success after winning Gold at London 2012 Olympics, Commonwealth Games and International Wrestling Championships.
The trailer also shows Sultan smitten by equally ferocious wrestler Aaarfa (played by Anushka Sharma) and briefly tracks their love story and chemistry.
The trailer then takes a sombre turn with Sultan mouthing the words: “Manne jis pehelwani par gurur tha, usi ne hame phatkaya”. It is a mystery to what exactly happened and the trailer raises curiosity of the audiences.
He is then seen leading a lackluster life not pursuing wrestling for years. The film then becomes a tale about Sultan who makes a comeback defeating all odds staked up against him. He retrains and works out despite being middle-aged to become victorious. The film also stars Randeep Hooda as Sultan’s new coach. The trailer shows the film to be realistic with authentic backgrounds of Ludhiana and Phillauri as well as sporting events in London Olympics, Delhi Commonwealth Games and Istanbul Wrestling Championship.

According to YRF, Sultan is a film that “promises mint fresh romance, an inspiring tale and unique wrestling action.”
In minutes of publishing the official Sultan Trailer on YouTube, the video clip crossed over 80,000 views with some fans billing Sultan as bhai’s (salman Khan’s) career-best film. After posting the link to the YouTube trailer on his official twitter page, Salman Khan simply asked: “Kaisa Laga?”
