Salman Khan hosts Bigg Boss Season 6

Cricket commentator Navjot Singh Siddhu, South-Indian film actress Sana Khan and comedian Vrajesh Hirjee are some of the housemates of Bigg Boss season 6 tag-lined Alag Che. Bollywood’s Rani Mukherji and Himesh Reshammiya along with show host Salman Khan kicked open the reality show today.

This season’s Bigg Boss series had a grand opening with the Aiyyaa actress congratulate the winner of the Common Man contest, Kashif Qureshi and also to teach Salman Khan some of the belly dancing moves she mastered for the song Aga Bai from her upcoming movie. Reshammiya and Bhojpuri actress Monalisa were also present at the opening of the show.

Alongside Siddhu, Hirjee and Sana Khan, three television vamps including Urvashi Dholakia and Aashka Goradia; activist Sampat Pal Devi; controversial cartoonist Aseem Trivedi; and quirky celebrity hairstylist, Sapna Bhavnani are all part of this season’s housemates.

To further spice-up the events in the confined Bigg Boss house, the show’s producers invited estranged couple Delnaaz Paul and Rajeev Paul.

Salman Khan unveiled the sixth season with a performance of one of his Ek Tha Tiger hit numbers Mashallah.

The housemates will spend 90 days in the Bigg Boss house and will participate in tasks. They will stay under the strict surveillance of 74 cameras tracking every resident’s move 24/7. There will be weekly nominations and evictions which will change the equation between the housemates.

Bigg Boss is inspired by UK’s popular reality show Big Brother.
